2009 UFEX Rules
for Film Entries
•
Film Submission Deadline for the 2009 Program is July 15th, 2009.
•
A filmmaker may submit no more than two films for consideration.
•
Each film must be no more than 5 minutes long, with at least 50%
of the footage taken underwater.
•
Please include a brief bio and contact information (e-mail address)
with all entries.
•
Films may be narrated or unnarrated. Live narration by the presenter
at the actual showing of the film is also an option.
•
All films must be submitted on mini-DV tape. Only DV-NTSC and HDV
1080i60 formats will be accepted. Include at least a 15 second black
leader before each film.
• Films shall not violate any legal right, whether music,
copyright, personal, property, or any other legal right.
•
If you wish to have your submission(s) returned to you after the
selection process, please send a self-addressed return envelope
with proper postage along with your submission(s).
•
The organizers of the San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition and this
website will not be responsible for lost or damaged tapes.
•
Judges selecting the films to be included in the two evenings' programs
will not be permitted to submit film(s) for consideration.
•
The San Diego UnderSea Film Exhibition reserves the right to use
portions of the films for the promotion of this event. All rights
will remain with the producers of the films.
